![]() This well-respected list became a standard collection development tool for most medical libraries, and many of the recommended titles were often moved to libraries' noncirculating collections. One of the earliest lists of recommended medical texts for libraries was Brandon's biennial “Selected List of Print Books and Journals for the Small Medical Library” (later referred to as the Brandon/Hill list), which supported the concept of a “core” collection of essential medical texts. The collection development approach that evolved at the FSU COM library was useful during the initial stages of identifying and evaluating journal selections and in assessing the relative value of a particular journal package for the FSU COM after the school was established. Thirty-seven journals are identified for addition to the FSU COM core list based on use by the COM, and areas of overlapping research interests between the university and the COM are identified based on use of specific journals by each population. The results indicated that the development of the core list was a valid method for creating a new twenty-first century, community-based medical school library. Usage was correlated with weighted point values assigned to a core list of journal titles, and each package was evaluated for relevancy and cost-effectiveness to the Florida State University College of Medicine (FSU COM) population. Usage data were extracted for four e-journal packages (Blackwell-Synergy, Cell Press, Lippincott Williams & Wilkins, and ScienceDirect). The current study evaluates the results of a previously reported method for creating a core medical electronic journal collection for a new medical school library, validates the core collection created specifically to meet the needs of the new school, and identifies strategies for making cost-effective e-journal selection decisions. Despite this, it is suitable for the definition of a nursing diagnosis. Conclusion: The protocol development allows an understanding of the humor concept in health care, however it is a scoping review which provide a breath but not deep knowledge about humor as topic. Results: The data will be presented in tabular and narrative form. ![]() ![]() We will also use databases for research grey literature as well consulting aspects in the field of humor to collaborate in the research. Considerable research in online databases (7) will be integrated by bibliographical research. This research will not be limited in temporal or linguistic terms. The sample will consist of studies that address any of the characteristics inherent in humor, understood as antecedents, attributes, and consequences, regardless of the health context in which they are developed. For the construction of the research guiding question, the PCC strategy was adopted: adult people (Population), concept of humor (Concept), health care (Context). ![]() Methods: This protocol has been structured according to the methodology defined by the Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI). Objectives: To develop a range analysis protocol proposing the mapping of the studies conducted in the context of humor in the field of health care. Analysing this concept becomes paramount for a subsequent inclusion in the Nursing Process, competing to improve the quality of care provided. ![]() Introduction: Humour being a widely studied concept, still hasn’t reach consensus in the scientific community. ![]()
